Public Life
Principles × Limits × Possibilities
This website brings together the different questions, projects, and experiences that have shaped the way I think. I used to believe that fair rules should naturally lead to fair outcomes, but my experiences in legal education, labor rights, and research showed me that reality is often more complicated. That shift led me to think more deeply about justice, institutions, political philosophy, and religion—and the work collected here reflects that journey.
Principles guide decisions.
Reality reveals their limits.
One question kept growing.
Law first interested me because it promised a relationship between responsibility and consequence. Yet practice showed me that the same principle could lead to very different outcomes. That gap gradually moved my attention from individual cases to the rules and institutions behind them—and eventually toward political philosophy and religious thought as other ways of understanding their limits.
